Tis the Season

First ones to be completed!
For Christmas this year we went to visit both sides of my family in Virginia and in West Virginia. We spent majority of our time in West Virginia though with my dad's side of the family.

Normally we all buy each other gifts which easily turned into my aunts all buying me gift cards which I loved, but it almost felt like we were just swapping money. So instead this year my aunt came up with the idea of making each other gifts. Now for the people in my family who aren't as creative as my mom and I or my cousin, this was a hard task. Most people just gave me books or candles that they had in their house. One of my cousins did knit me a cute little hat and made bowls of cookies out of old records. I still want to try and make one sometime.

My mom's idea of making jewelry for everyone came from these beads we bought years ago. When I was in high school my mom made my necklace for my Junior year Prom. It was really pretty with lots of pink and crystal beads. She spent a lot of time on it and really sparked an interest in both of us. So that year we bought so many beads and had so many small projects to start that none of them happened.

So 4 years later I finally used all the beads! We might have bought a few more in the process... or a lot more... But I really enjoyed making them all. Im extremely tempted to take all these pictures I have and remake all the earrings I made for them. My cousins send me pictures all the time of them wearing their earrings so I guess they were well received!

These were never made but I love them

The completed earrings in their boxes about to be wrapped!
